Verafin Inc., a leading North American Fraud Detection and Anti-Money Laundering software provider will open its 6th Annual FRAML (FRaud detection + AML) Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona this week with a panel of industry experts who will focus on the emerging trend of information sharing as a key factor in the fight against financial crime.
The opening day line-up of speakers include a financial intelligence subject matter expert as well as presenters from the Department of Justice; Homeland Security Investigations; Fraud-Net; and several US financial institutions. Conference attendees earn six credits toward the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists’ CAMS accreditation program.
“Many financial institutions struggle to identify workable solutions to today’s complex regulatory environment, let alone “best in class” solutions for tomorrow’s challenges. By leveraging Verafin’s vast user community, one can learn from other’s hard fought lessons” says J.R. Helmig, an illicit finance expert who is the opening keynote speaker for the event. Verafin processes more than 60 million transactions per day for US based financial institutions.
The conference is a two and a half day event that is a combination of thought leadership, comprehensive training on fraud detection and AML technology, and best practice sharing among financial institution risk management staff.
“We’re very much looking forward to this year’s FRAML conference,” says Brendan Brothers, Co-founder. “It gives all in attendance the opportunity to discuss emerging trends, and dive deeper into the topics and challenges we face in the BSA compliance, fraud detection and AML industry. Our speakers and presenters come from a wide variety of backgrounds, and are experts in their fields, so it promises to be a beneficial few days for everyone.”
