CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Matt’s experience in the technology industry and his work with community banks, credit unions, and financial institutions has given him a deep understanding of the role technology plays in today’s financial services marketplace. Matt shares his insights as a contributor to community banking and credit union technology journals such as Mortgage Technology News and Mortgage Banking Magazine, and is a regular speaker at industry events. Before joining ExactBid, he held progressively senior positions with such leading edge companies as D+H, Mortgagebot, and SAP. Matt is a graduate of Duke University, where he studied English literature.
Paul Hill is Chief Executive Officer of DisclosureNet, a leader in the disclosure management software market. Prior to DisclosureNet, Paul was General Manager of the global Performance Management business at IBM — a division focused on solutions for the Office of Finance. Paul came to IBM through the acquisition of Clarity Systems in 2010, where he was COO. With over 20 years of software industry experience, Paul is a board member at DisclosureNet, Verafin and Celtx, all software leaders in their respective markets.

Jamie co-founded the company in 2003 with two other Memorial University postgraduate Electrical Engineering students, Brendan Brothers and Raymond Pretty. Since then he has been establishing the long term vision of the company and leading Verafin’s product development efforts.
He is an industry expert in the application of technology to the detection and prevention of money laundering and fraud and he is dedicated to continuously developing innovative ways to combat financial crime. Equipped with an extensive background in probabilistic networks, behavior based analytics, robotics, he has an expert knowledge of fraud and money laundering detection and the financial industry. As a result, Jamie is frequently asked to speak at a number of anti-money laundering conferences across North America. His focus is often on the convergence of fraud and money laundering detection within financial institutions and the emerging use of advanced technologies to fight financial crime.
Adam Margolin joined Spectrum in May 2005. Prior to joining Spectrum, Adam was a Vice President in Citigroup’s Media & Telecom investment banking group in New York where he focused on M&A, capital raising and restructuring transactions across various sectors. Previously, Adam worked in Citigroup’s Financial Institutions Group in New York and Media Group in London. At Spectrum, Adam has focused on information services, risk & compliance software and data & analytics industry segments.
Adam currently serves on the board of directors of Trintech, and he previously was a board member at Business Monitor International (acquired by Fitch Ratings) and World-Check (acquired by Thomson Reuters).
Adam graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English & American Literature from Harvard University.
Chris Mitchell joined Spectrum in 2001 and has been investing in growth companies since 1995, previously at TA Associates and Monitor Clipper Partners. Earlier, he worked in the mergers and acquisitions group at SG Warburg. At Spectrum, Chris focuses on the information services, financial technology, software, and digital media industries.
Chris currently serves on the board of directors of BATS Global Markets, Eagleview Technologies and Trintech Holdings Limited. Previously, he was a board member of Business Monitor International (acquired by Fitch Ratings), ITA Software (acquired by Google), RiskMetrics (acquired by MSCI) and World-Check (acquired by Thomson Reuters). Additionally, he is a Director of Horizons for Homeless Children and a Trustee of The Roxbury Latin School.
Chris graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (cum laude) in Classics from Princeton University.

David co-founded Information VP in 2014 as a spin-out of RBC Venture Partners from Royal Bank of Canada. David joined RBC Venture Partners in 2001 and over the past 13 years David has led direct investments in a broad range of successful enterprise, Fin Tech, security, mobile, and clean tech ventures.
David currently serves on the board of directors of Verafin Inc., IGLOO Software, eSentire Inc. and is an observer to the board of JANA Mobile. David managed the investment and served on the board of Viigo Inc (acquired by RIMM), and was an observer on the board of Varicent Software (acquired by IBM), Tacit Software Inc. (acquired by ORCL) and Lumeta Corporation.
Prior to his career in venture capital David had a successful career in operating roles focused on e-commerce strategy development, technology enabled financial services product development, technology project management and retail/commercial financial services.
David is active in the start-up community in Toronto and Waterloo as a mentor to participants in the Communitech, JOLT Co., Extreme and MakeWorks accelerator programs. David also serves as an advisor to the RBC Generator Fund with a focus on Social Impact Investments. David is also active in professional associations including the CVCA’s Private Capital editorial board as a frequent contributor to Private Capital Magazine and is an original member/co-founder and past Chair of the Financial Services Venture Capital Alliance (www.fsvca.org).
David obtained an MBA from Queen’s University, holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He is also a graduate of the NVCA’s Venture Capital Institute and the Rotman SME Board Effectiveness Program.
Steven Woods is co-founder and CTO of Nudge Software, a company focused on helping business professionals maintain and grow their business networks. Prior to Nudge, Steven was Group Vice President, Product Development at Oracle Corporation. Steven joined Oracle through its acquisition of Eloqua, a marketing automation company he co-founded in 2000. Steven has a degree in Engineering Physics from Queen’s University.
